ALL PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING:

1.      Although many methodologies are shared among all areas of the National Weather Service, each National Weather Service Forecast Office determines their own methods for achieving the agency’s mission and goals.  The Sullivan Committee programs support NOAA’s National Weather Service Forecast Office at Milwaukee/Sullivan, Wisconsin.  For information on the support programs used by other Weather Forecast Offices, please contact the individual office that serves the area of concern.  If assistance in determining where your area local National Weather Service Forecast Office is required, please feel free to contact the webmaster with your location.

2.      The Sullivan Committee, within their limits of responsibility, will not work with non-established or unknown local organizations.

3.      All local organizations participating in the Sullivan Committee programs must have representation on the Sullivan Committee.

4.      Local organizations participating in Sullivan Committee programs must respect any policies that are enforced by the local authorities and the served agencies.  A served agency is defined as a legitimate government entity.

5.      Local organizations participating in Sullivan Committee programs should only pass information that they deem is credible.

6.      Local organizations participating in Sullivan Committee programs have the latitude to determine acceptance of information from unknown sources.

7.      Public Safety officials must understand that there are rare instances when the Milwaukee Sullivan Weather Forecast Office will act upon information pertinent to the Public Safety official’s area of responsibility that is obtained from legitimate sources other than the Public Safety official’s office and/or programs.
